or re-engineering old ones to a high standard. Prices are very competitive.

Life on the Riviera can be bizarre at times. Here are some pages describing odd people and strange events in cyberspace, as they occur.

And there are few as strange as Linda Frobisher, a caricature of a Riviera female and just the kind you wouldn't want to meet. Fortunately you won't; she's the invention of someone with a seriously disturbed personality.

Another local personality who doesn't actually exist is "Jan", who posts on the forums as "honeypie". She's designed to trap unwary people into scams run by an unsavory local character.

Both of the above - and many more - are inventions of one David Kappel, a low-rent scammer and fraudster who uses a number of aliases. He hides away in a villa near Apricale.

Mr Kappel has recently gained a new interest. He is doing his best to poison the reputation of Ventimiglia by posting defamatory comments on the AngloInfo Liguria forum under a wide range of aliases and guaranteeing to upset people who have strong connections to the town. Perhaps not the wisest of things to do if Ventimiglia is really as bad as he says, but Mr Kappel was never a wise man.
